BORSCI SAN MARZANO LIQUEUR - CL 70

. Marzano is a versatile elixir, which adapts well to different preparations: neat it is excellent as a digestive, long drink it becomes an aperitif and a thirst-quenching drink and, combined with coffee and ice cream, it enhances the taste. Not much is known about the recipe of this liqueur. We only know that it is obtained by infusing certain herbs and spices in alcohol. The word "elixir" harks back to distant times. Elixir means "philosopher's stone" and originally alluded to a chemical compound that, when applied to metals, was supposed to magically transform them into pure gold. The extraordinary abilities that the term "elixir" evokes have made it synonymous, in more recent times, with products with exceptional healing properties, prodigiously capable of giving man a dream: a long and healthy life.
