PEYCHAUD'S BITTER - CL 14.8
Peychaud's Bitter is a bitter made from gentian and other aromatic herbs, originally created in 1830 by Antoine Amédée Peychaud, a pharmacist of Creole origin, from the French colony of Saint Domingue - now Haiti. It was developed after an in-depth study on the healing properties of herbs and botanicals. Unlike other bitters on the market today, Peychaud's is lighter and more floral and boasts its typical reddish color.
To be used in mixing, perfect with a few drops of absinthe and rye whiskey, to create the most traditional of Sazeracs.
