BIRBANTE LIQUEUR DISTILLERY 50/60 CL.70
DATA SHEET
Buongusto Alcohol At 96 degrees, coming from the fermentation of soft wheat.
Apulian citrus peels, Toritto DOP almonds of the “Filippo Cea” variety, Ceylon cinnamon sticks. All our botanicals are hand-picked, respecting seasonality and balsamic time, and are then dried naturally at low temperatures, then analyzed in the laboratory.
DISTILLATION AND REFINEMENT
The liqueur is made by macerating fresh citrus peels in precise quantities in 85° alcohol. After maceration lasting about 40 days, the product is distilled in a copper still (crushed sweet almond, cinnamon sticks, dry bergamot). The distillate is then left to rest for another 20 days together with other fresh citrus peels. Finally, it is redistilled using the same recipe. A distillate of 80/82° is obtained. Water and Italian sugar are added to the product to obtain an alcohol content of 30°. The distillate is made using a copper still with a steam current method. Finally, the product is bottled.
